Getting started guide for Administrators

Please note

If you are using the GoReact tool in your LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, etc.) you will need to go back to the Administrator support page and click the corresponding LMS icon for specific instructions for your LMS.

If you're using GoReact directly on goreact.com, this is the right place to start!

Create an account

If you have a preexisting GoReact account, skip to the next section (Accept an invitation to the organization). If you need to create a new GoReact account, follow the steps below to set one up.

  1. From the GoReact.com homepage, click the "Sign Up" button at the top right.
  2. Under "I'm an Instructor," click the "Go" button.
  3. Fill out the form with your account information and click "Submit."
  4. Fill out the next form with your school/organization information and click "Submit."  If you are the first person to create an account at your organization, then your new organization will automatically be created.  Otherwise, select your organization from the dropdown menu.

Accept an invitation to the organization

In order to get administrator access for a new organization, you will need to contact GoReact Support. In order to get administrator access for an existing organization, you will need to have the existing organization administrator invite you to the organization. (If your organization has not previously had an administrator in GoReact, please contact our Support team.) After you are added as an organization administrator, then you will be able to navigate between each account and course in your organization.

Navigating within GoReact

The course selector menu can be found at the top left of the GoReact dashboard by clicking your course name.  This menu is how you will navigate between courses in GoReact.  With the drop-down menu below the organization's name, you can navigate between all instructor accounts in your organization.  When an account is selected, you will see three tabs (Past, Current, Future) that organize the courses within that account.  At the bottom of the menu, you will see an option to create a new course within the selected account.

Please note

If you create a course within an instructor's account, you must invite that instructor into the course in order for it to be available for student registration.  We also recommend that you remove yourself from the course if you will not be participating.
