Feedback Types
There are multiple types of feedback you can give in GoReact. When you play a video, you'll see these feedback options listed in the media toolbar, towards the bottom of the feedback panel on the right.
Text Comments with a Timestamp
To enter a text comment, make sure the Text icon is selected, then start typing at the desired timestamp in the video. The video will stop playing when you start typing a comment and resume playing when you hit "Enter." All comments are automatically saved to the appropriate spot on the timeline.
General Text Comments
A general comment (previously known as an "End Note") allows you to add feedback without referencing a specific timestamp in the video. You can create this type of comment by typing the comment and then clicking the "X" on the timestamp itself. Once you submit, it will automatically send the comment to the bottom of the thread.
Video Comments
To add a video comment, click either the "Video," "Upload," or "YouTube" buttons. Once you finish posting your video comment it will be automatically saved to the comment timeline. You may optionally add text comments beneath your video comment. (If you seem to be having issues recording your video see our Video recording checklist or Troubleshooting: recording guides.)
Audio Comments
To add an audio comment, click the "Audio" button. Record your audio and click "Finish" when you are done. The audio comment will be automatically saved to the comment timeline. You may optionally add text comments beneath your audio comment. (If you seem to be having issues recording your video see our Troubleshooting: audio guides.)
Markers
To add a Marker to a video, click any of the colored icons above the media toolbar. (For more on Markers, see Using Markers.)
PDFs and Images
To add a PDF or image comment click the "Upload" or "Library" buttons to select the desired file. PDFs and images can be used as pre-set responses for feedback on a video.
- PDF files can be a quick reminder for your students on how to master a particular skill.
- Image files can be any supported static image or animated gif files, which can be used to 'show' the correct way to perform a skill.
