Before starting
If your course is set up through Blackboard, you can only access GoReact via Blackboard. You cannot go to goreact.com.
Be advised, the Blackboard user interface (UI) is highly customizable. If something doesn't quite look the same on your end, then you'll want to reach out to your instructor directly for directions on how to access your assignments.
Please note
Before you can access your Blackboard course, your instructor will need to make sure that you have been invited / granted access. If you don't see your course in Blackboard, please reach out to your instructor, or IT Team for assistance there.
How to Find Your GoReact Assignment in Blackboard
Please follow these steps to access your GoReact assignment. Be advised, your videos will live inside of the exact assignment you posted your video to. For example, if you post a video to "Assignment 1", then you can only find it again by clicking on "Assignment 1".
- After logging into Blackboard, click on the desired course.
- From there, click on the "content" tab on the left hand side, and you will see a list of all available assignments in your course.
- Once you locate your GoReact assignment, click on it.
- Once you see GoReact load, then you'll know you're in the right place!
At this point, you can start posting videos, or reviewing videos! Here are some helpful guides that will walk you through posting videos, or critiquing/reviewing feedback:
If you encounter an issue at any point in this process, please review our FAQ's below:
Student FAQs
What do I do if it shows a "GoReact Setup Problem" error?
The Key/Secret is Not Correct
This means that the GoReact tool has not been set up properly by your Instructor or Blackboard Administrator. The Key/Secret acts as a password, and if the wrong one is entered, then you won't be able to get in. Unfortunately, GoReact does not have access to your Blackboard instance to fix this from our side.
Please contact your Instructor or Blackboard Administrator for assistance in fixing this issue.
Incomplete Activity Setup
If you're seeing this message, then the instructor of the course still needs to open the GoReact assignment and finish filling out their desired settings before it can be made available to you.
Please reach out to your instructor directly if you need this assignment now, and let them know it's not finished being set up. For a resource, they can review our guide here to make the activity available to you:
The following parameters are missing or invalid: [The resource link title field must be present.]
The resource_link_title is an LTI parameter responsible for titling the assignment. If that parameter or value is missing, then the LTI launch is not compliant, and will fail. Your instructor will need to make sure they include an assignment title with the GoReact assignment when they make it.
Your instructor can review our supported guide here: Creating GoReact assignments in Blackboard Ultra.
Payment questions
I accidentally scratched off my access code, what can I do?
If you have scratched off your access code, or are otherwise unable to read it, you can contact GoReact Customer Support. Please include a picture of your access code card, including all four corners.
I didn't receive my access code, what can I do?
If you didn't receive your GoReact access code from your bookstore/publisher, you will need to reach out to their support team. GoReact doesn't distribute any access codes individually.
How much does GoReact cost?
GoReact is super affordable. The cost of your course will depend on your organization’s agreement with GoReact. If your school does not have a license with GoReact, the normal fee is $31.99 per course per semester. Alternatively, if you have multiple courses that use GoReact, you can purchase the 5-year plan for $149.99. The 5-year plan allows you to enroll in an unlimited number of courses for five years.
I already paid for my course, why is it asking me to pay again?
This typically happens when you have more than one GoReact account and you're logging in on a different account from the one you paid on. Make sure that you are logging in with the email address that the payment receipt was sent to. If you purchased a 5-year plan and need that plan applied to your LMS account, see the question below.
I previously purchased a 5-year plan, why it is not applying to my new course?
This happens if you've created two GoReact accounts or if your new course is held on an LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, etc.), but your 5-year plan was purchased on goreact.com (or vice versa). Your 5-year plan will automatically apply to your new account if it has the same email address. If you purchased the 5-year plan on a different account or you didn't use the same email address on your goreact.com and LMS accounts, you will need to contact GoReact Customer Support to manually apply your 5-year plan to your new account.
Where do I enter my payment information or access code?
When you register for a new course, you will see a red "Pay With Card" button in the middle of your screen. If you click this, then you will be able to enter your card information. Alternatively, click the red "Enter Access Code" button to enter your access code instead.
The feature I need is missing!
Missing features
If a feature is missing, such as Markers, Peer review (seeing your classmate's videos), Stimulus, etc. you will need to reach out to your instructor to make changes to the assignment settings. GoReact does not build content for your Instructor, instead they will build it themselves, so any changes to the assignment settings will need to go through your Instructor.
