Installing the GoReact Tool

Please follow these instructions to get the GoReact tool installed on Blackboard Learn 2012 (or see our instructions for Blackboard Learn 2016).

  1. Click the "System Admin" tab.
  2. Select "Building Blocks."


  3. Select "LTI Tool Providers."


  4. Click "Register Provider Domain."


    Provider Domain Status

  5. In the "Provider Domain" field, enter


    Default Configuration

  6. For "Default Configuration," select "Set globally."
  7. In the "Tool Provider Key" field, enter your email address.
  8. In the "Tool Provider Secret" field, enter goreact (all lowercase).


    Institution Policies

  9. For "Send User Data," select "Send user data only over SSL."
  10. For "User Fields to Send," select all three checkboxes.
  11. Click "Submit."


Manage Placements

  1. On the LTI Tool Providers page, hover over the line for Click the caret and choose "Manage Placements."


  2. On the next page, click "Create Placement."

  3. In the "Label" field, enter GoReact.
  4. In the "Handle" field, enter GoReact.
  5. For "Content Type," select "Tools" and check "placement allows grading."
  6. Check the box for "Launch in New Window." For the best overall experience, we highly recommend loading GoReact in a new window.  Otherwise, GoReact may be unable to access the camera and microphone.


    Tool Provider Information

  7. In the "Tool Provider URL" field, enter
  8. In the "Tool Provider Key" field, enter your email address.
  9. In the "Tool Provider Secret" field, enter goreact.
  10. Click "Submit."


What next?

The tool is now installed! If you have not already allowed grades from provider tools to be sent to Grade Center, please see Admin setup for posting grades in Grade Center.

Custom Key and Secret

If you would like to update the key and secret for your organization to a custom combination,

  1. Follow this guide to set up the tool with the generic key and secret.
  2. Create a GoReact assignment and open it.
  3. Once you see the GoReact dashboard, contact the support team to request a unique key and secret.
  4. Update the tool in Blackboard with the provided key and secret.
