Frequently Asked Questions

Account/Registration questions

How can I change my email address?

To edit your name, email address, or password, click your name in the upper right-hand corner of the dashboard and select "My Profile." Changes are automatically saved when you select a new field or click "Close."

How do I transfer my registration?

You can transfer your registration if the course is less than 45 days old and you have two or fewer videos.

How do I delete my account?

You may request to delete your account and data at any time, though if you wish to keep any of your videos, you'll need to download them first. If you would like to preserve access to your videos along with any feedback, you can leave your account intact without any concern - we'll never share your information and we will never charge your credit card unless you initiate the transaction yourself (there is no automatic or recurring billing).

Why can't I log in?

Make sure that you are entering the email address you used when you signed up for GoReact. Also, make sure you are logging into the correct platform. For example, if your teacher is using Canvas, log into Canvas.  If your course is in an LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, etc.) then it cannot be accessed on goreact.com

Why don't I have access to this course?

Some courses are set up to allow access for a certain amount time after which students will be deactivated but not removed from the course.

If you see this message, please reach out to your instructor for more information. They will be able to provide the specifics on your deactivation and can reactivate your access if needed.

Please Note:  GoReact Support cannot reactivate a deactivated user - this must be done by the instructor.

Payment questions

I accidentally scratched off my access code, what can I do?

If you have scratched off your access code, or are otherwise unable to read it, you can contact GoReact Customer Support. Please include a picture of your access code card, including all four corners.

I didn't receive my access code, what can I do?

If you didn't receive your GoReact access code from your bookstore/publisher, you will need to reach out to their support team.  GoReact doesn't distribute any access codes individually.

How much does GoReact cost?

GoReact is super affordable. The cost of your course will depend on your organization’s agreement with GoReact. If your school does not have a license with GoReact, the normal fee is $31.99 per course per semester.  Alternatively, if you have multiple courses that use GoReact, you can purchase the 5-year plan for $149.99.  The 5-year plan allows you to enroll in an unlimited number of courses for five years.

I already paid for my course, why is it asking me to pay again?

This typically happens when you have more than one GoReact account and you're logging in on a different account from the one you paid on.  Make sure that you are logging in with the email address that the payment receipt was sent to. If you purchased a 5-year plan and need that plan applied to your LMS account, see the question below.

I previously purchased a 5-year plan, why it is not applying to my new course?

This happens if you've created two GoReact accounts or if your new course is held on an LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, etc.), but your 5-year plan was purchased on goreact.com (or vice versa). Your 5-year plan will automatically apply to your new account if it has the same email address. If you purchased the 5-year plan on a different account or you didn't use the same email address on your goreact.com and LMS accounts, you will need to contact GoReact Customer Support to manually apply your 5-year plan to your new account.

Where do I enter my payment information or access code?

When you register for a new course, you will see a red "Pay With Card" button in the middle of your screen. If you click this, then you will be able to enter your card information.  Alternatively, click the red "Enter Access Code" button to enter your access code instead.

Video questions

How do I know if my instructor can see my video?

If you can see the thumbnail of your video on the dashboard and can play the video as well, then your instructor will be able to review your video and provide feedback.  If your instructor isn't seeing it, please try playing the video yourself. If it doesn't work for you, it won't work for them either and you may need to resubmit your video.

Who can see the comments on my video?

By default, GoReact comments are private.  If your instructor wants you to see all comments, they will need to enable the "Open Peer Review" setting on the assignment.

How do I move my video to a different assignment?

To move your video to a different assignment, click the three dots on the right-hand side of the video, and select "Edit". Below "Move Submission to Another Assignment," choose the new assignment, and then click "Save."  Please note: you can only transfer videos between assignments with the same assignment type that are also within the same course.

Can I share my video with someone outside of GoReact?

Yes, you can share a video with a Guest Reviewer, who can be a non-GoReact user or someone who does have a GoReact account.  Please see our Guest Review guide for details on how to use this feature.

Why can't I see my peers' videos?

By default, GoReact videos submitted by your peers are private and are not visible to you. If your instructor wants you to review your peer's videos, they will need to enable either "Open Peer Review" or "Closed Peer Review" on the assignment.

How long will I have access to my videos?

You will have access to your courses and videos for five years past the end date of the course, unless your instructor deletes your course or your LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, etc.) expires the course sooner.

Why is it saying I am out of time and can't record?

If you are getting an error message that says the account is out of time, you will need to contact your instructor, who can then contact Customer Support to resolve the situation.
